Using concrete as a decorative medium has come a long way over the years.  Everyday we are testing the limits and pushing quality to new levels.  Our concrete is made by mixing Portland cement, water, sand and stone together.  We continually look for ways to improve the concrete mix and every year our research and testing yields better strengths and longer durability.  For Blackheath Stone Works, Inc.  testing our limits never ends so that we may stay on the cutting edge of concrete production and quality. Today our concrete is testing around 10,000 PSI.

Looking into the future:
New technology is available to us to make what we would call "Stain Resistant Concrete".  That is to say that the admixtures we put into our concrete are designed to work from the inside out rather than topical sealers that prevent anything from coming into contact with the concrete.  The idea is simple and very effective.  Our concrete is high performance and extremely durable.  An added benefit includes the ability to place hot pots and pans directly onto the surface of the countertop and have better scratch resistance.   Ask our staff for more information on heat and stain resistance.
