Formulating what your countertop will look like is based upon two basic decisions:

1. What color pigment to use in the cement
2. What color and kind of aggregate to use

There are 2 basic choices in color.  First pick a cement base color.  We offer 10 standard colors and can match Benjamin Moore paint codes for a premium.  Our finished appearance of our concrete is ground.  When the surface of our concrete countertops are ground, it exposes any aggregate.  The end result is a surface that looks and acts like granite with the feel and design characteristics of concrete.

Determining how you want your countertops to feel:

In grinding the concrete surface, we are essentially pre-scratching it to the extent that it is polished.  In doing this, we are removing any weaknesses and hardening the surface.

What you need to know:
1. The deeper the grind, the more stone will be exposed
2. The cost is no different, it is simply a matter of taste and personal preference
3. Signified by a fine, medium or course grind and polish

Be sure to ask about our inlays as well. Imbedding fossils or other items of interest can personalize your living areas to match your taste and personal preferences.

Notes about color:  We can match Benjamin Moore paint codes.  We use the highest grade of Portland cement to add our pigment to.  But, at the end of the day we are still stealing with concrete, not paint.  we are going to get as close as we possibly can but exact color matching is near impossible.  There are inherent variables when working with concrete that are beyond control.
